PARK LIMITED MUZIK is proud to introduce another masterpiece from Mayford Fox, who hails from Italy and is already known for his remix of Hideout on our parent label, 19BOX RECORDINGS.  He is back for his much anticipated 'Angry Makes You Happy EP', his new addition to our catalog. 

'Funk You' opens the EP as Mayford Fox delves into the funky tech house spectrum with perfectly worked grooves, driven bass, glistening, and tight snares. With 'Angry Makes You' he further explores the realms of deep, emotive techno. 'Happy' closes out the EP on a more hypnotic tip. He is calmly climbing into the higher echelons of the scene and with releases like this, it's clear to see why.

19BOX RECORDINGSにて、HIDEOUT「Because Life Is Beautiful」のリミックスを手掛けたイタリアのMAYFORD FOXが、PARK LIMITED MUZIKに降臨。3曲を収録したコンセプチュアルな「Angry Makes Happy EP」を届けてくれた。まず、ベースがグイグイ引っ張るテックハウスの「Funk You」で幕を開ける。続いて、不穏な雰囲気を醸し出すディープなサウンドスケープに、ベースとリズムが絡んで組曲的な展開を見せる「Angry Makes You」。最後は、民族的でヒプノティックな表情を覗かせる「Happy」で締め括り。ジャンルを交差しながら独自のサウンドをクリエイトするMAYFORD FOX、今後も目が離せないプロデューサーである。

19BOX RECORDING's new release come from yet another, really talented Indian producer Aviat. After appearing on "Essence - Embrace Sessions", the guy from Mumbai, India has crafted 'Promises EP'. 

'Promises' is a lush chillout vocal tune that could also be considered really dreampop as well. The remixes come courtesy of Pleasure Dome. They are 19BOX RECORDINGS' house outfit that focus on disco sound and our posse can join whenever they do. They took on an 80s vibe with breaks from Minneapolis sound and others.

Continuing with the EP, Aviat brings us another track entitled 'Blade'- which is a trip into the futuristic sound with a cinematic synth. Pick your favorite and have fun!

『Essence - Embrace Sessions』に「Nova」を提供し、19BOX RECORDINGSの仲間入りを果たしたインドのAVIATが、「Promises EP」を引っ提げ帰還。HANS ZIMMERらの映画音楽に影響を受け、そこにクラブ・ミュージックのエッセンスを加味するムンバイ出身のサウンド・デザイナーは、表題曲「Promises」にてチルアウト然としながらもドリームポップ的な側面を演出。リミックスを手掛けたのは、19BOX RECORDINGSのハウス・プロデューサー達による叡智を結集した匿名プロジェクト＝PLEASURE DOME。2つの異なるヴァージョンで、80sマナーを披露。また、未来的な響きを奏でる「Blade」でEPは完結。正にレトロ・フューチャー。

DJ 19, Edison and Julianne aka Ambrozia are back with 'Never Surrender'. This time sees them covering Corey Hart's highest charting single in the United States, reaching No.3 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1985. This is the follow-up single to their previous effort, 'On My Own' with Ganga, and the reunion of the original Ambrozia line-up featuring Julianne. The production is massive, the cover is beautifully done in their unique style, and the vocals are superb.

On the remix tip we have enlisted the talent of Mentality H, who is from Kocaeli, Turkey, and has released Dub Techno tracks through labels such as SUPERORDINATE DUB WAVES, DATENBITS RECORDINGS and VYNKEL HOUSE. The original mix has an organic Chillout sound. But he flips that concept on its head and takes on a minimalistic approach with effected chopped vocals and atmosphere.

ヴォーカリストであるJULIANNEの妹が癌にかかり、日本とオーストラリアを行き来する生活になったため、クロストファー・クロス「ニューヨーク・シティ・セレナーデ」のカヴァーをコンピに提供した2010年を最後に、DJ 19 & EDISONのプロデューサー・ユニットとして稼働してきたAMBROZIA。残念ながら死という形を迎え、再びオリジナル・メンバーが集結。AOL＝アダルト・オリエンテッド・ラウンジを標榜するサウンドは健在で、COREY HART最大のヒットである1985年全米3位を記録した「Never Surrender」をカヴァー。また、注目のダブ・テクノ系プロデューサー、トルコ出身のMENTALITY Hが、原曲から大きく離脱した大胆な解釈でリミックス。

As always, 19BOX RECORDINGS has saved the best till last and is finally ready to present "Essence - Embrace Sessions". It's almost been 3 years since we released our last "Essence" compilation. "Essence" is one of the most famous compilation series in Japan and is mixed by 19BOX head honcho, DJ 19. The "Essence" series has been focusing on chillout and downtempo music instead of stereotypical dancefloor-oriented mixes. This promises to ooze cool, fuzzy, lovely and thoroughly provocative electronica. 

There are 4 unreleased tracks by new and old artists known and unknown. We go by the music and not the name. Alexander S. Karlov from Russia makes his 19BOX debut with '11.40 Dollars' and 'Ocean Of Your Heart', which cross the borders of electronica with chillout and ambient. Aviat from Mumbai, India is a new artist too, and delivers sensual & emotional 'Nova'. Tokyo's DJ 19 & Edison aka Ambrozia jump back into the scene to craft classical chillout 'Private Indulgence'. We give you a glimpse at what we're cooking for the future.

DJ 19の名を轟かす契機となった1999年スタートの『Essence』シリーズは、MIX CDとしてとしての役目を終え、現在はチルアウトを中心としたコンピレーションとして稼働。約3年振りとなる『Essence - Embrace Sessions』は、エロクトロニカにもアプローチするセレクションを含め、19BOX RECORDINGSの今、そして未来を提示するショーケースとなっている。新たに19BOXに加わった2人、ロシアのALEXANDER S. Hideout, who is frequently collaborated with DJ 19 as Hot Station, modestly describes his offering on 19BOX RECORDINGS as "organic sound". It's his way of capturing the character that emerged from what he calls a blend of oriental sound and new ideas. 'Because Life Is Beautiful' follows up the single release of  'Songbird', which covered smooth jazz classic by Kenny G.

On remix duties, we're happy to welcome Mayford Fox to our ever growing family of artists. He was born in Italy in the remote village of Porto San Giorgio on the east coast in 1989. In 2011, he stayed in London where he attended the course of six months in electronic music production at SAE Institute, then moved back to Italy after couples of years around Europe. Mayford Fox uses some of the key work from the original, but against the intense backdrop he's staged, it's almost as if he's telling a completely different story with hypnotic grooves.

DJ 19とのHOT STATIONでもお馴染みHIDEOUTが、約2年振りとなるシングル「Because Life Is Beautiful」をドロップ。UKの配信サイトで1位を獲得するなど大ヒットしたKENNY Gのカヴァー「Songbird」に続く作品で、HIDEOUTの標榜するオーガニック・サウンドに磨きをかけている。メランコリックでオリエンタルなブレイクビート仕様のオリジナルに対し、ミニマリスティックでヒプノティックなフロア向けリミックスを施したのはイタリアのポルト・サン・ジョルジョ出身であるMAYFORD FOX。ロンドンでスタジオ・スキルを学び、SOULECTRIQUEなどでリリースを重ねる注目のプロデューサーは、ジャンルを交差した新たなストーリーを紡ぎ出した。
