Nickoen from Quito, Republic of Ecuador makes his PARK LIMITED MUZIK debut with a couple of takes on a rather hypnotic tech acid tunes as 'Looking For Microphone' EP. This time he brings in Crema, whose Spanish Rap adds even more attitude to the tracks. It's a natural link-up, they fully locked into and push the Latin Tech house sound forward.
'Microphone Check' and 'Looking For' showcase their impressive musical chemistry, blending Nickoen's powerful grooves with Crema's voices. Two very versatile club tracks with on instrumental mix here that scream production quality.
19BOX RECORDINGSは勿論のこと、PARK LIMITED MUZIKも様々な国の人が名を連ねるが、今回登場するのはレーベル全体としても初となるエクアドルから。インディー・ロックからスタートし、PAUL JOHNSONらに影響を受けクラブ・ミュージックに開眼してシフトという流れでデビューとなるのは、首都であるキト出身のNICKOEN。「Looking For Microphone」EPは、NICKOENの持つグルーヴ感に、同郷のCREMAを従えることでパワーアップ。 というのも「Microphone Check」と「Looking For」は、アシッドなテック・ハウスを基調とし、CREMAが影響を受けた90年代のNYを醸すラテンな雰囲気をスパニッシュ・ラップで拡充。
