We are delighted to welcome back Sota S. AKA Genuine Fakes to DJ 19's PARK LIMITED MUZIK with his brand new 'Cat Walkin''. He has taken almost three years to prepare his solo single after releasing 'Inconceivable'. In the meantime, he did collaborations with Elgone who teamed up to bring us 'From Tokyo To Paris' and DJ 19 who teamed up to bring us '3 9 50 Much'. With his long-awaited return to the label, Sota S. radiates his signature style with disco-tinged grooves, 80s guitar riffs and resonant bassline throughout.
The Discotheque Mix is a laid back house tune which is an ode to the late 70s and early 80s disco sound with guitar riffs and funky bass line. Sota S. provides a range of stellar mixes that cater for a range of dancefloor dispositions.
19BOX RECORDINGSにて、GENUINE FAKESでの稼働が多いベテランであり、TORTURE GARDEN JAPANのオーガナイザーとしての顔も持つSOTA S.が、PARK LIMITED MUZIKに於いて前作の「Inconceivable」から約3年振りとなる新作を届けてくれた。その間、ELGONEとの「From Tokyo To Paris」、DJ 19との「3 9 50 Much」というコラボも話題となったが、「Cat Walkin’」ではテッキーなサウンドを奏でつつ、自身のルーツを反映させたディスコなグルーヴ、例えば80sなギター・リフや70年代後期なヴォイス・サンプルを塗すなどしてフロア向けに対応。ギター・リフを強化した別ヴァージョンにてレンジの広さを提示。
